Georgette P. Guilbeault, 76, a longtime resident of Dracut passed away peacefully on Friday, February 19, 2016 at her home.
She was born in Lowell on October 8, 1939, and was a daughter of the late Frederick and Irene M. (Simoneau) Guilbeault. She received her education in Lowell schools and was a graduate of St. Joseph High School.
Prior to her retirement, Georgette was employed for many years as a real estate agent servicing Dracut and the surrounding communities. She started her real estate career with Estelle Falardeau Real Estate, worked for many years at Happy Homes Real Estate and for the past 11 years was affiliated with Dolan & Kane Real Estate. In 1993 she received the award for top Producer and was a member of the Northeast Association of Realtors. Prior to working in real estate, she was also employed for 16 years as a bookkeeper for B & M Railroad and, earlier in life, was employed by Su-Ann Manufacturing in Lowell.
Georgette dedicated her life to her career and loved to work with people. She was a wonderful caring woman who adored her sisters, with whom she travelled often. Georgette's greatest joy was traveling, especially on cruises. She was proud to have sailed all over the world with Holland American Cruises a total of 416 days and 7 days aboard the Queen Elizabeth II. She loved the Boston Bruins and had been a season ticket holder since 1974, she knew the old Boston Garden and the New TD Garden inside and out. She also loved to go to Canada to shop.
She enjoyed sharing her many adventures with all and will be missed by her many friends and associates.
She is survived by her two sisters, Suzanne Guilbeault and Jeannine Guilbeault, both of Dracut; two brothers, Richard Guilbeault of Lowell and Robert Guilbeault and his wife Mary of Dracut; her sister-in-law, Ellen Guilbeault of Pelham, NH; her friend, Robert Sullivan and his family of Ashland, NH; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She is also the sister of the late Sister Constance Guilbeault and Donald Guilbeault.
