George Young

George Young Jr., age 67, beloved husband of Rosemary (Nelson) Young, passed away peacefully on September 30, 2017

Born in Westford on January 27, 1950, a son of Betty (Edgar) Young, who survives him, and the late George Young, Sr., who passed away in 2014.

George was raised in Westford and was a 1968 graduate of Westford Academy.

Prior to his retirement in 2015 he worked as a buyer for Benchmark Electronics. George loved spending time with family, recently enjoying his new grandson Benjamin, watching the Red Sox and the Patriots. His passion was music and loved going to concerts with his family and fishing with his best bud David Norton.

Surviving him besides his mother and his wife of 42 years, are a son, Keith Young and daughter in law Lauren Young; daughter Kelly Young Wheeler and husband Michael Wheeler; a grandson Benjamin Young; brother Richard Young; a sister Nancy Young; brothers in law Allen Nelson, Donald Nelson and his wife Mary Nelson; brother in law Doug Nelson and his wife Cindy Nelson; sister in law Janet Patenaude and husband Bill Patenaude; brother in law Mark Nelson; brother in law Bill Nelson and his wife Judith Dickerman Nelson; many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews; and dear lifelong friends David and Nancy Norton.
It being his request, funeral services will be private and his Life Celebration will be announced soon.
