George H. Moras

LOWELL - George "Chip" Moras, a Lowell resident, passed away at home on Thursday, August 5, 2010, surrounded by his family and dear friend Renee' Milinazzo, after a long battle with Peritoneal Mesothelioma. He was the loving husband of Paula Maille-Moras with whom he was married for 35 years.
He was born in Ayer, MA on October 6, 1953.
Chip worked at Airco and BOC Gasses, now known as Linde Gasses of Acton, MA for 20 years as a truck driver and a Cryofill Technician.
What Chip enjoyed more than anything in this world were his 3 grandchildren. He was an avid New England sports fan, Patriots, Red Sox, Celtics and Bruins. He also followed Nascar and did the Richard Petty experience in CA. Chip loved to play the lottery, trips to Vegas and country music concerts.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his two sons and their families, Eric, Andrea, Marlene and Jeremy of Lowell, and Jeffrey, Nicole and Kailey of Methuen, also his extended family from Florida.
He was the son-in-law of Roland T. Maille of Lowell and the late Jacqueline (Brassard) Maille; son of George and Pauline (Pontbriand) Moras, formerly of Groton, currently of CA. Chip also leaves two brothers, Donald and Richard and two sisters, Joanne and Linda, all of CA. He was predeceased by his brother Paul. He is survived by many nieces, great nieces, a nephew, cousins, aunts, uncles and a Godchild, Amy Cloutier.
