George A. Martin

Pelham, NH-George A. Martin, 70, of Pelham, died Friday evening at his home. He was the husband of Carol Ann (Wojcik) Martin with whom he would have celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary on September 2, 2010.

Born in Webster, MA, on September 13, 1939, the son of the late George A. Martin and the late Agnes (Lacerte) Martin, he attended St. Louis Grammar School and St. Joseph's High School. He served with the National Guard Reserves from 1958 to 1964.

Mr. Martin had over 50 years experience in the milk business and owned Larose Bros. Dairy in Lowell from 1971 to 1983. He also worked for West Lynn Creamery and Garelick Farms of Lynn as the Distribution Manager until his retirement in July of 2005.

Beside his wife, Carol, Mr. Martin is survived by a son, Robert Martin of Dracut, and a daughter, Donna Podd and her husband Timothy of Milford, NH, and one grandchild, Stephen Podd of Milford, NH. He is also survived by a brother, Donald Martin and his wife, Janet, of Loudon, NH, and a sister, Pauline Fehres and her husband, Hans, of Great Falls, MT and many nieces and nephews.
