LOWELL - Franklin "Frank" J. Lima, age 74, a longtime resident of Stevens Street in the Highlands section of Lowell died Wednesday morning, January 19, 2022 at Willow Manor in Lowell.
He was born in Lowell on July 19, 1947, and was a son of the late John and Alice (Andrade) Lima, whom he dedicated his time to and cared for, in their later years until their passing. He received his education in Lowell schools.
Prior to his retirement, Frank was employed at Murray Printing in Westford and by Wang Laboratories in Lowell.
He was a man of faith and a kind heart and volunteered his time at Ste. Marguerite d'Youville, formerly known as Ste. Therese Church in Dracut and other organizations throughout the years. He was the 'go to guy' at his residence on Stevens Street and was always willing to help a fellow neighbor or lend a listening ear.
Frank was a simple and unassuming man, who enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He had a passion for movies and music, and worked as a DJ known as "The Music Man" in his earlier years.
He is survived by his two daughters, Tina N. Fournier and her husband Steven of Lowell and April C. Poirier and her husband Michael of Dracut; four grandchildren, Matthew Gaudette, Jared Gaudette, Michael Poirier and Andrew Poirier; the mother of his daughters, Denise Waterworth of Dracut; his sister-in-law, Nancy Lima of Tyngsboro; a nephew, Michael Lima of Acton and a niece, Jessica Pascal of Acton.
Frank is predeceased by his parents and his brother, Dennis Lima.
The family would like to thank the staff at Willow Manor and Compassus for their time and effort to care for Frank especially during these unprecedented times.
Per the family's request, his Funeral Service will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Frank's memory to the American Diabetes Association, diabetes.org.
