Frank Freitas, Sr., age 84, of Dracut, husband of Germaine (Gauthier) Freitas, died on Tuesday November 5th at Lahey Clinic in Burlington.
Born in Lowell on November 9, 1928, he was a son of the late Louis and Maria (Perry) Freitas.
Frank served with the U.S. Army Engineers attached to the 5th U.S. Air Force as a Welder, with the rank of Corporal for 2 years in the Korean conflict.
He became a plumber and was formerly employed by Ayotte Plumbing and Omar Guilmette Plumbing, from which he retired.
Besides his wife, he is survived by a son, Frank Freitas, Jr. and his companion Starrann Brann of Sandown, NH; a daughter JoAnne Freitas and her companion Marcia Bissonette of Dracut; grandson Patrick Freitas, a U.S. Marine stationed in Arizona, of Sandown, NH; stepson Rodney Lacroix; step-grandchildren Payton Louise Lacroix and Cameron Kenneth Lacroix all of Salem, NH. He is also survived by many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Arthur Freitas, John Freitas, Charlie Freitas and Mary Freitas.
