Frank William Enfanto III of Dracut, formally of Wakefield, passed away peacefully in his home on May 20, 2021 with his loving wife Patricia by his side. He was 70.
Frank was born in Everett on June 19, 1950 a son of the late Frank William Enfanto Jr. and Phyllis (Quinno) Enfanto.
Frank is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Patricia Anne (Smelstor) Enfanto; his children, Lisa Marie Lynch and her husband Christopher, of Tewksbury, and Steven Christopher Enfanto and his wife Corey of Burlington, VT; His grandchildren, Kaylee Lennon Lynch, Conor Christopher Lynch, and Rowan Michael Enfanto. Frank is also survived by his siblings, Paul Enfanto, Richard Enfanto, and Phyllis Enfanto, in addition to many loving family members and friends. Frank was the father of the late Christopher Michael Enfanto, husband of the late Kathleen Lopez Enfanto, and son in law of the late Ronald Smelstor.
After starting his career as a math teacher Frank had a long successful career as an executive leader in Information Technology. Frank also served in the Army National Guard for 33 years and became a Lt. Colonel prior to his retirement. Frank was a proud Veteran and felt honored to be part of the service community. Frank was a member of the Calvary Christian Church in Lynnfield, MA. His faith was incredibly important to him and he relied on his beliefs to cope with his many health declines and challenges that he faced throughout his life. Frank loved to travel with his wife and children sharing his love for the beach and spending winters skiing. As a child he spent his summers in Old Orchard Beach, ME with his siblings and cousins and carried on this tradition with his own family. Frank was an avid golfer a passion that he shared with both his sons and brothers. Frank also loved big dinners and hosting friends and family for football games and holidays.
Frank was determined and fought bravely through many health issues after a stroke left him disabled in 2010. He was grateful to have the love and unconditional care and support of his wife throughout his illness. Frank was strong minded, passionate and loving. If he believed something was important he would make it known. He loved his children and supported their endeavors. He enjoyed watching Christopher play hockey and was so proud of him when he earned his Doctorate of Pharmacy. Frank loved to coach and was able to use this skill when Lisa was growing up playing basketball. Frank and Steven shared a fondness for golf and the two bonded over the sport and spent countless hours on different golf courses together. Frank enjoyed a new enthusiasm for life when he became a Papa. He loved spending time with all his grandchildren and spoiling them with presents and treats. They truly were his pride and joy.
Frank will be fondly remembered and greatly missed. Frank never gave up and always fought for what was important to him physically, mentally, and emotionally. His bravery and passion for life was clear in everything he did.
Frank's Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday May 25th, 2021 at 12:00 pm at Calvary Christian Church, 47 Grove St, Lynnfield, MA 01940.
