LOWELL – Francis G. Harding, 77, a resident of the Centralville section of Lowell, died Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2012 at a local health care facility. He was the loving husband of Anna L. (Usher) Harding.
Born in Lowell on March 3, 1935, he was a son of the late John W. and Mary Jane (Welch) Harding.
Prior to his retirement, he was employed by the Courier Citizen Corp. of Lowell. Following retirement he worked for the City of Lowell in the Parks and Recreation Dept. for 5 years.
He was a communicant of St. Michael Church and a member of the East End Club, the Dom Polski Club and the Centralville Neighborhood Group.
In addition to his wife he leaves three daughters, Deborah L. Harding, Cynthia R. Stamp and her husband Neil, all of Lowell, and Kimberly E. Harding of Tyngsboro; two sons, Lawrence F. Harding and the mother of his children, Robin Morris, both of Lowell and Glenn C. Harding of Hudson, NH; a daughter-in-law, Janice Harding of Hudson, NH; a brother, Thomas Harding and his wife Estelle of Newburyport; a sister, Christina Frawley of Dracut; 12 grandchildren, Michael Harding and his wife Barbara, Derek Stone and his companion Lisa McDonough, Angeline Stamp and her companion Brian Desrosiers, Erin Harding, Neil Stamp, Jr., Joseph Harding, Brendan Gaudette and his companion Katlyn Hand, Christian, Emily, Ariana, Chase and Faith Harding; 6 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was also the step father of several children among who are Bonnie A. Usher and her partner Wendy Dickey of Derry, NH and Charleen M. Bennett of Lowell. He also leaves the brother of his children, Eric Joy of Manchester, NH. He was a brother of the late William, George, John, and James Harding, Winifred Greene, Mary Urbowicz and Agnes Flynn.
