Frances M. "Fran" (Coffin) (Tabor) Silva

METHUEN - Frances M. "Fran" (Coffin) Tabor Silva - Born on July 22, 1927 Fran celebrated her 90th birthday this past summer at the beautiful Halcyon House Retirement Home in Methuen MA where she lived for the last 8 years. Fran was transferred to the Merrimack Valley Hospice House on Tuesday October 10th and passed away peacefully on Wednesday morning October 11th.

Daughter of Beatrice Coffin (Dover, NH), Fran grew up on her maternal Grandparents farm in Maine. She married and divorced Harry Tabor and remarried several years later to John Silva until his death. Frances retired from Raytheon in Lowell MA after 28 year. After her retirement she went on to volunteer as a

Foster Grandmother in the Dracut school system for 14 years, and was an active member of the Dracut Council on Aging for several years before going into Halcyon House in Methuen in 2009.

Frances was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt and is survived by her daughters Joyce (Tabor) Newton and her husband Alton Butch Newton of Westford, MA and Donna (Tabor) Kearns and her husband David Kearns of New Castle, NH. Her granddaughter Tina Huff and husband Todd Huff of Glens Falls, NY and her grandsons Timothy Pelham of Lowell, MA and Steven Kearns and his wife Meaghan of North Reading, MA and three Great-Grandchildren: Skylar, Torin and Julia. Along with several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Frances is predeceased by her first husband Harry Tabor and her second husband John Silva, her sister Pauline Spencer and her brother Albert Rollins.
