Frances L. Gilbride "Worked at Raytheon"
LOWELL - Mrs. Frances L. (Hobbs) Gilbride, 79, a Lowell resident, died Monday, May 2, 2005 , following a lengthy illness, at the Holy Family Hospital in Methuen, MA. She was the wife of the late Charles A. Gilbride.
She was born in Lowell, MA on July 8, 1925, and grew up in Pelham, NH. She was the daughter of the late Charles W. and Ruby (Guild) Hobbs.
She was educated in the Lowell Schools.
Mrs. Gilbride worked at the Bon Marche Hair Salon for many years. She also worked at Mobil Chemical Company in Lowell and retired from the Raytheon Corp. of South Lowell.
She enjoyed bingo, playing cards and dining out with her family and friends.
Mrs. Gilbride is survived by three sons and two daughters-in-law, Paul and Linda Gilbride of Tyngsboro, Charles R. Gilbride of Dracut and David and Stephanie Gilbride of Pepperell; two grandchildren, Madison and Cassidy Gilbride of Tyngsboro; a sister, Harriet LaBelle of Butler, Wisconsin; a brother, Charles Hobbs II of Pelham, NH; a dear niece, Cardie Bordeleau of Pelham, NH; three sisters-in-law, Alice Fotopoulos, Margaret Gilbert and Doris Grenier, all of Lowell; also many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Florence Roberts of New York.
