LOWELL - Frances E. (Coan) Dupuis, age 89, a lifelong resident of the Centralville section of Lowell passed away peacefully in the same home that she was born in on June 10, 1932. She was the beloved wife of Robert E. Dupuis, with whom she would have celebrated 68 years of marriage on September 7th.
She was the daughter of the late William F. and Genevieve (Reed) Coan and was a graduate of Lowell High School, class of 1950.
Frances spent most of her life tending to the needs of her home and family, although she was employed for many years as a teller by Central Savings Bank in Lowell and as a tax examiner by the IRS in Andover.
She was a lifelong communicant of St. Michael Church in Lowell and was a longtime member of the St. Michael Ladies Sodality and a volunteer at the church thrift store.
Frances loved to travel and traveled with Bob to 48 states and to many countries around the world.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her three children, Robert E. Dupuis of Brentwood, TN, Anne Marie Stewart and her husband Timothy of San Ramon, CA, and William F. Dupuis and his wife Caroline of Wilbraham, MA; six grandchildren, Mikaleagh Stewart, Kaitlin Turley, Robby Dupuis, Michael Dupuis, Nicholas Dupuis, and Julia Dupuis; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also the sister of the late Raymond, Walter, Leo, and Harold Coan.
It being her wish, there will be no visitation. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Frances' Funeral Mass to be celebrated on Thursday, July 22nd at 9:00am at St. Michael Church in Lowell. Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery in Chelmsford.
