Frances L. (Normandin) Blake, a resident of Dracut passed away on Monday, May 28, 2018 at the Holy Family Hospital in Methuen. She was 78.
Born in Lowell on July 15, 1939, Frances was a daughter of the late William and Lillian (Lynch) Normandin.
Prior to her retirement Fran worked as a waitress at several area restaurants, including the Town House, Athenian Corner, and the Holiday Inn in Tewksbury.
Fran was a homebody who loved cooking, solving crossword puzzles, and playing board games such as Scrabble and Monopoly. She enjoyed shopping trips, but always looked forward to a trip to play the slots at Foxwoods and Plainridge Park Casino.
Survivors include two sons and a daughter in law, William Blake of Dracut, Steven and Dodie Blake of Lowell; two grand children, Krystal Blake of Lowell, Steven Blake of Austin, TX; two brothers and a sister in law, Dennis and Barbara Normandin of Dracut, Jim Normandin of Lowell; a sister in law Ginny Normandin of Braintree. She was the half sister of the late Bill Normandin and sister in law of the late Cathi Normandin of Lowell. She also leaves two nephews, John P. Normandin and James W. Normandin both of Lowell and two dear cousins, Peg and Ray Masse of Dracut.
Relatives and friends are invited to Fran's Life Celebration at the McKENNA-OUELLETTE FUNERAL HOME, 327 Hildreth Street from 4 until 6 PM on Friday. Her Funeral service will follow in the funeral home at 6:00 PM. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers donations in Fran's memory may be made to the House of Hope, 812 Merrimack St. Lowell, MA 01854.
