Florence M. Garabedian … loving wife and mother
LOWELL – Florence M. (Veillette) Garabedian, 82, a Lowell resident, died Saturday morning, July 30, 2011 at a local healthcare facility. She was the loving wife of George T. Garabedian, with whom she celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary on July 4, 2011.
Born in Lowell on April 27, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Leo and Florence (Joyce) Veillette.
Prior to her retirement, Mrs. Garabedian was employed by Raytheon Corp. of South Lowell.
She enjoyed a lengthy retirement, and she loved spending time with her family and friends, doting on her grandchildren, and making frequent trips to Hampton Beach with her loving husband.
A long-time resident of the Centralville section of the city, she was a communicant of St. Michael Church.
In addition to her husband she is survived by two daughters, Linda M. Kirwin of Dracut, and Dolores A. Zacharias and her husband Edmund Zacharias III of Methuen; her sister, Doris Blanchette of Lowell; her brother, Robert Veillette and his wife Linda of Pepperell; four grandchildren, Scott M. Kirwin and his wife Jennifer of No. Reading, Katie L. Moon and her husband Steven of Dracut, Cindy M. Griffin and her husband Nicholas of Methuen and Kevin E. Zacharias and his wife Coreen of Lowell; three great grandchildren, Piper, Liam and Anabelle; also several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Louise Veillette, Dorothy Agrella and Almy Banfield.
