Fleurette Germaine (Martin) Ouellette passed away on Friday, May 26, 2017, following a lengthy bout with Alzheimer's disease.
She was born in Lowell on December 12, 1934 to Wilfred Martin and Germaine (Nault) Martin, both now deceased.
Educated in Lowell, Fleurette was a graduate of St. Louis Academy.
She married Normand Ouellette in August 1956 and shared 60 years of unselfish companionship.
A devoted wife and mother, she was a lovely person, a devout Catholic, a meticulous housekeeper, accomplished seamstress, a self-taught hairdresser and an above average bowler.
Her care and attention to her mother in the 1970's attests to her caregiving nature. She liked long rides, fine music, concerts, the theater, school plays, and quality time with family and friends.
Survivors, besides her husband Normand, include their only child, Michele, and her husband Ralph von Philp, and their children Trenton von Philp and Bethany von Philp, whom she and Normand were very proud, as attested by their frequent trips to Hagerstown, MD for Birthdays and Holidays. Also her sisters, Theresa Greaves and Rita Peters of Dracut, Martin brothers, Omer of Pelham, NH, Wilfred, Marcel and Antonio of Dracut, and Normand of Chelmsford; also several nieces, nephews, and in-laws. She was a sister of the late Emile Martin of Pelham, NH.
Fleurette's family would like to thank the staffs at Fairview Healthcare and the Inn at Fairview, both of Hudson, NH, and to the Home Health and Hospice Care, for their dedication to making Fleurette feel comfortable and loved.
