Evelyn T. (Sousa) Luppold

DRACUT- Evelyn T. (Sousa) Luppold, 84, a longtime resident of Dracut died Saturday, February 25, 2017 at Merrimack Valley Hospice House in Haverhill surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Bernard H. Luppold who died in 2005.

She was born in Lowell on March 11, 1932, and was a daughter of the late John I and Dorothy (Earle) Sousa. She received her education in Lowell schools and was a graduate of Lowell High School, class of 1952.

Prior to her retirement, Evelyn was employed for many years by ABS Data. Earlier in her career, she was employed by Courier Citizen.

She was a communicant of St. Michael Church and was a longtime member and past chaplain of the East End Club Ladies Auxiliary.

Evelyn enjoyed country dancing and playing cribbage, but above all she enjoyed spending time in the company of her loving family.

She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Gagnon and her husband Darrin of Hudson, NH; four sons, Gary Luppold of Tempe, AZ, Steven "Jake" Luppold and his wife Laurie of Pelham, NH, Michael Luppold of Dracut, and Eric "Rick" Luppold and his longtime companion, Kathy Miller, both of Methuen. eleven grandchildren, Stacey King and her husband Jason, Steven Luppold, Tiffany Luppold, Kerri Miller, Rebecca "Becky" Miller, Steven Miller, Ashley Luppold, Michael Luppold, Darrin Gagnon, Kaelyn Gagnon, and Dakota Luppold; five great grandchildren, Jacob, Daniel, Austin, Casey, and Hunter; a sister, Ann Felber and her husband Gordon of Klamath Falls, OR; and many nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Raymond Sousa and his wife the late Mary Sousa.
