Evelyn L. Block

Evelyn L. (Millerick) Block, age 82, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Tuesday, October 7, 2025 at Lowell General Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Hans Phillip Block, Jr., until his passing in 1994.

She was born on April 14, 1943 in Somerville and was the daughter of the late Nancy (Barnes) Coleman and James Millerick. She worked as a paraprofessional in the special education department for various elementary schools over the years. Evelyn’s compassionate spirit and dedication to helping others will always be cherished.

She is survived and will be deeply missed by her children, Nancy Morris of Methuen, Kimberly Zabek of Chicopee, Tristan and his wife, Patricia of Lowell and Daniel Block and his wife, Laura of Maryland; her grandchildren, Christopher Morris and his wife, Debra, Matthew Morris and his wife, Annie, Hannah Austin, Nathan Austin, Victor Zabek, Michael Zabek, Emma Block and Ethan Block; her great-grandchildren, Isabel, Isla and Finley; as well as many other extended family and friends.

She was the mother of the late Hans P. Block, III.

Relatives and friends are invited to Evelyn’s graveside service on Saturday, October 25, 2025 at 11 AM at WESTLAWN CEMETERY, Lowell.
