Eugene R. "Petu" Marcotte

Lowell - Eugene "Petu" Marcotte Jr., a resident of Lowell, passed away peacefully at Fairhaven Nursing Home surrounded by his loved ones on July 13, 2025 at the age of 81.

Born in Lowell, he was the son of the late Flore and Eugene Marcotte.

Petu, was raised at home by his parents, where he enjoyed collecting vinyl records, cassettes and CDs of music covering all genres as well as making memories with his cousins. His favorite cherished moments were those spent with his family at holidays and cookouts. He loved Lifetime Channel, Green Acres and Mayberry RFD. He was an avid wrestling fan with the Rock being his favorite. His favorite foods were cookies, cakes, ham sandwiches with chips, Elliotts Hot Dogs and McDonalds. He lived a simple life filled with love of family and will always be remembered fondly for the love he shared.

Petu is survived by many neices, nephews, great neices and nephews..

He is preceded in death by his brother, Armand Marcotte and his sisters, Cecile Martine, Germain Duffy, Georgette Corcoran, Doris Leary and Pauline Lemire, as well as his parents.

Relatives and friends are invited to Petu's Life Celebration on Thursday, July 17, 2025 from 10:00 to 10:15 AM at the McKENNA-OUELLETTE FUNERAL HOME, 327 Hildreth Street, Lowell. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 11 AM at St. Mary Magdelan Church, Tyngsboro. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Chelmsford.
