Ethel R. "Bunny" Lessard, widow of Leo J. Lessard, a resident of Lowell, formerly of Dracut, died Sunday July 11, 2010 following a period of declining health. She was 96.
Ethel was born in Lawrence on August 1, 1913, a daughter of the late Maurice L. and Mabel (Metcalf) Noonan
Prior to her retirement she worked in the audit department of the Internal Revenue Service.
Survivors include two sons and daughters in law, Donald W. and Judith Lessard of FL, Lee David and Karen Lessard of Dracut; a daughter, Patricia McFadden of Pelham, NH; a sister Julia Gianopolous of Lawrence; seven grandchildren, Christopher Lessard, Teri Lessard, Alyson Gendreau and her husband James, Kelly McFadden, Keith Lessard and his wife Kim, Kris Lessard, Michael Lessard; eleven great grandchildren; a sisters in law Arlene Noonan of Andover; Pauline Lessard of Dracut, Alice Lessard of Hudson; a brother in law and sister in law, Warren and Bobbie Delaware of Dracut; several nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Robert, Maurice and Dennis Noonan, Gertrude Mandros, Ada Sakash, Muriel Croteau, Gladys Noonan, Mildred Burns, Edna Sullivan, Helen Olson and Mabel Leclerc, and mother in law of the late Harold McFadden.
