Esther A. (Carrier) Rousseau

LOWELL – Esther A. (Carrier) Rousseau, 90, a resident of Lowell, passed away at her residence on Saturday, March 26, 2016 with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Paul C. Rousseau.
Born in Lowell on January 10, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Alphonsine (Jutras) Carrier.
Esther was a graduate of St. Joseph High School in Lowell.
In her younger years, she was employed by the Delvy Shoe Factory in Haverhill. Later in life she worked as a rental agent for Princeton Properties.
Esther was a communicant of the former St. Louis de France Church and was active with the committee which ran the annual carnival. She was also a member of the St. Louis Women's Guild and Jeanne Mance.
Esther was an avid ten pin bowler and belonged to a league at the Brunswick Bowling Alley. She also enjoyed going to bingo with her friends.
Fondly referred to as "Essie" by her loved ones, Esther enjoyed playing board games with friends and family. She was happiest when surrounded by her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren; singing lullabies and rocking them all was her greatest passion.
She leaves her five children, Candice Rousseau of Lowell, Cynthia Greenwood and her husband Fred of Pelham, NH, Paula Rousseau of Lowell, Paul C. Rousseau, Jr. and his wife Michelle (Mackey) of Litchfield, NH and Lisa Condo and her husband Christopher of Hudson, NH; two sisters-in-law, Claire Panazuk of Methuen and Lorraine (Rousseau) Rybzyk; 13 grandchildren, Faith, Rusty and his wife Tiffany, Emily and her husband Jimmy, Adam and his wife Kate, Bethany and her husband Mark, Courtney and her husband Peter, Allyson, Anthony, Hannah, Katie, Emma, Zachary and Sarah; 13 great grandchildren, Michaela, Ethan, Donovan, Jennifer, AiLi, Autumn, Emmett, Jameson, Logan, Scotlyn, Yvonne, Eliza and Julia; her best friend, Lorraine Boucher of Dracut; also several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Eloise Carrier, John Carrier and Jeanne Foisy.
