Esther J. (Doyle) Medina

It is with great sadness that Esther Josephine (Doyle) Medina has gone to Eternal Rest on June 9, 2021.

Born in Boston, on April 14, 1922 to the late Pierce and Margaret (Duffy) Doyle who emigrated here from Ireland.

Esther, a Lowell resident, was married over 40 years to the late Joseph A. Medina. Graduated from St. Peter's School and Lowell High, class of 1940. Employed at Churchill Mfg, C.F. Hathaway and retired in 1987 from USCI, Billerica. Esther, a devout Catholic, was a member of St. Peter's Church, St. Peter's Sodality until its closing and St. Anthony's Church.

A member of SAGE (Salvation Army Golden Era), Lowell Council on Aging and the Lowell Senior Center where she thoroughly enjoyed activities and socialization. Esther treated everyone equally and with love and kindness.
Survived by her loving daughters, Patricia (Boland) Cahill and her husband Dennis of Dracut and Carol Andrade of South Lawrence. Esther is also survived by the loves of her life, her grandchildren, Kelly (Boland) Russell and her husband Jeffrey of Londonderry, NH & Wellfleet, Ryan Boland and his wife Kelley of Haverhill, Mario J. Andrade and his wife Candace of No Kingstown, RI and Rebecca (Andrade) Heggarty and her husband John of Methuen. Esther had the joy of being a great grandmother to Timothy, Caroline, Gabrielle, Mason, Matthew, Abigail, Isabelle, John and Madison. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Esther was also predeceased by her son in law Mario Andrade, sisters Margaret (Doyle) Kelly and her husband Thomas, Elizabeth (Doyle) Jenkinson and her husband John, Veronica Doyle and a brother Pierce Doyle. Predeceased also by her in-laws, Jose, Brites, Mary, Francis, Anthony, Alva, Philip and Eileen Medina.
It being Esther's request funeral services were private. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in her memory to St. Vincent de Paul Society - St. Francis Conference, PO Box 609, Dracut, MA 01826 Please remember Esther in your prayers.
