Esther M. (Laird) Degan

Esther M. (Laird) Degan, 86, of Lowell died Thursday July 31, 2014 at Fairhaven Healthcare Center in Lowell. She was the beloved wife of Daniel G. Degan Sr. of Lowell who survives her.
Born in Lowell on February 15. 1928, she was a daughter of the late Robert J. and Mary Ellen (Toohey) Laird.
Esther loved spending time at the beach, enjoyed playing Bingo and was a fan of the Red Sox.
In addition to her husband, Esther is survived by her children, Daniel G. Degan, Jr. of Lowell; David G. Degan and his wife, Kathy of Tyngsboro; Dennis R. Degan and his wife, Christine of Lowell; three grandchildren Lauren and Maxwell Degan of Tyngsboro and Ayden Degan of Lowell; a brother, Jack Laird of Lowell; a sister-in-law Patricia Rapazza of Lowell; many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Patricia Gearin, Ann E. Greene; Dorothy Hadfield and Leo "Bob" Laird.
