Estelle R. Greene

Lowell - Estelle R. (McPolin) Greene, beloved wife of the late William F. Greene, Sr., a Lowell resident, died Monday October 12, 2009 surrounded by her loving family. She was 83.
She was born in Lowell on April 4, 1926, a daughter of the late John and Mary (Flaherty) McPolin.
In her younger years, Mrs. Greene had worked in the local mills.
Estelle enjoyed spending time with her friends at Mazur Park Apartments and trips to Foxwoods Resort, but especially enjoyed time spent with her family and her good friend Beulah Spence.
Survivors include a son, William Greene, Jr. of Boston; two daughters and sons in law, Helen and Paul McGovern of Tyngsboro and Catherine and David Correa of Hampton, NH; five grandchildren, Edmund McGovern and his wife Tobi, and Paul McGovern and his girlfriend Stacy Cyr, all of Tyngsboro, David Correa and his fianc� Melanie Carpenter, Michael Correa and his wife Morgan, and Adam Correa, all of Hampton, NH; four great grandchildren, Olivia Fahey, Jacob Correa, Alexander McGovern and Madison Correa; also several nieces and nephews. She was the grandmother of the late Theresa McGovern Gagnon, and sister of the late John "Jack" McPolin and Geraldine Talbot.
