Ernest J. Perrin, 93, a longtime resident of Tyngsboro passed away Wednesday February 4, 2015 at Northwood Health Care Center, following a period of declining health. He was the beloved husband of the late Therese S. (Duff) Perrin who predeceased him in 2011.
Born in Lowell on January 1, 1922, he was a son of the late Henri and Agnes (Ayotte) Perrin.
Ernie had a long career as a skilled Machine Operator. He was a proud member of the Civilian Conservation Corps of which he was enrolled in 1940 and honorably discharged from at Ludlow, Vermont in 1941.
He enjoyed fishing leisurely and was an extreme Bruins fan. He cherished time spent with his family and was a very proud Pepere to his grandchildren and great grandchildren, often cheering them on at their sporting events.
Ernie's family would like to acknowledge the exceptional care given to him over the past five years by the staff in the C-Wing Unit of Northwood Health Care Center including but not limited to Gail, Kristen, Brenda, Julius, James, Debbie, Amanda, Tara and Linda. Your dedication and compassion was very appreciated.
Survivors include his children, Leo Perrin and his wife, Terri of Tyngsboro with whom he and his wife resided for 25 years; Ernest Perrin and his wife, Monique of Lowell; Raymond Perrin; his grandchildren, Amanda Simmons and her husband, Michael of Tyngsboro, Jaclyn Fontaine and her husband, Leo of Attleboro; Heather Perrin of Lowell; Christopher Perrin of Lowell; his great grandchildren, Julia and Brody Simmons and Yvette and Lillian Fontaine; a sister -in-law, Yvette Landry of Dracut; two brothers-in-law, Arthur Duff and his wife, Ouida of GA and Joseph Sopolosky of CT.
He was the brother of the late Lucien Perrin, Bernadette Lupien, Cecile Sawyer, Roland Perrin, Georgette Duff and Ephrem Perrin.
