Lowell – Ernest Gaillardetz passed away peacefully on Sunday March 13, 2011 at the Lowell General Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was 70.
Born in Lowell on July 5, 1940, he was a son of the late William J. and Alice (Lamoureux) Gaillardetz.
Ernest grew up in the “Little Canada” section of Lowell and attended St. Joseph’s School.
He retired from Joan Fabrics in 2000. Ernest was an avid cribbage player and enjoyed watching westerns on television. He was a member of the former CMAC Club, Club Passe-Temps, Centralville Social Club, and the Lowell Order of Elks.
He is survived by three brothers and five sisters; Roland Gallardetz, Maurice and Anna Gaillardetz, Leo and Priscilla Gaillardetz, Estelle and Richard Dronseiko, Lucille and John Downs, Anita and Robert Chenard, Noella and Dennis Rivard, Yvette and John Roddy. He was also the uncle of 27 nieces and nephews and many grand nieces and grand nephews. He was the brother of the late Normand and Andre Gaillardetz. Ernest was loved and will be missed by everyone who knew him.
