Lowell - Elsie R. (Jackson) Hamelin, 94, widow of Leo M. Hamelin, a Lowell resident, died Thursday March 29, at a local nursing home.
She was born in Lowell on July 10, 1912, a daughter of the late George and Eugenie (Beaulieu) Jackson.
Mrs. Hamelin's greatest joy in life was spending time with her family.
She is survived by a daughter, Carol A. Carey of Rochester, NH; a daughter in law, Carol A. Clohesy of Tyngsboro; five grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren. She was also the mother of the late Robert G. and George M. "Butch" Clohesy, and sister of the late Viola Jackson.
