Eleanor Frances (Brennan) Fissette, 76, loving wife of Eugene A. "Fuzzy" Fissette of Dracut who survives her, died Monday, January 23, 2012 at Lowell General Hospital surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Lowell on July 6, 1935, she was a daughter of the late William and Catherine (Noon) Brennan. Eleanor was a graduate of St. Michael Grammar School, Lowell High School and attended Lowell State Teachers College.
For approximately twenty years, Mrs. Fissette worked at the Lowell Sun in the Accounts Receivable department. She retired in 1998. Eleanor enjoyed traveling especially going to the Cape in the summer and to Florida in the winter. She was an avid reader and loved her time with her family.
In addition to her husband of 54 years, she is survived by two sons, Allen E. Fissette and his wife Joy Beth of Marietta, GA and Stephen K. Fissette and his wife Linda of Dracut; five daughters, Sharon M. Tesoro and her husband David of Dracut, Ann M. Vandal and her husband James of Dracut, Patricia A. Langeleh and her husband Stephen of Tewksbury, Mary Ellen Jenkins and her husband Dana of Lynn, Melissa Bartlett and her husband Steven of Mercer, ME; 15 grandchildren, Kenneth, Brannon, Kristen, Matthew and Colleen Fissette, Thomas and Jessica Vandal, Dwight, Evan, and Philip Tesoro, Samantha Langeleh, Norris, Claire, Eddie and Eugene Bartlett; two great grandchildren, Stephen and Russell Fissette; a brother, Joseph Brennan of St. Augustine FL; a brother in law, Martin "Mickey" Finn of Lowell; two sisters in law, Maxine Brennan of Lowell and Rose Brennan of Ayer and many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Fissette was also the sister of the late Helen Cantwell, Patricia Hendrix, Mary Grigg, Ann Finn, William, Thomas and Harry Brennan.
