Elaine A. (Patenaude) (Tierney) Rupp, age 83, died February 7, 2025 after a sudden illness, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Dracut on June 6, 1941 and was the beloved daughter of the late Cecile L. (Jambard) and Edmour F. Patenaude.
For over 20 years, she worked at Sanders, now known as BAE. She fostered her love for shopping and worked in the retail industry at Sears and JCPenney in the fine jewelry departments.
She was a longtime communicant of St. Patrick’s Church in Pelham, NH.
Elaine is survived by her three children, Deborah Hooley and her husband, Frank of Cocoa, FL, James “Jay” Tierney of Auburn, NH and Gail Sweeney and her husband, Daniel, Sr., with whom she resided in Pelham, NH, along with the faithful family dog, Finnegan, who will miss her dearly; her seven grandchildren, Brian Cormier and his wife, Whitney, Daniel Sweeney, Jr. and his partner, Rose, Travis Sweeney, Shannon Hooley, Morgen Hooley, Samantha Tierney and Catherine Tierney; her three great-grandchildren, Owen, Elijah and Naomi; her brothers, Ronald Patenaude and his wife, Lorraine of Fort Pierce, FL, Carl Patenaude and his wife, Kathy of Dracut, Ernest Patenaude of Dracut and Edmour Patenaude, Jr. of Templeton, MA; as well as many other nieces, nephews, family and friends.
She is predeceased by her first husband, John “Jack” Tierney, the father of her three children and her second husband, Glenn Rupp. Also her longtime companion, Tom Kilduff and her sisters, Carol Hebert and her husband, Raymond and Claire Lanier and her husband, Hank.
Relatives and friends are invited to Elaine’s Life Celebration on Thursday, February 13, 2025 from 5 until 8 PM at the McKENNA-OUELLETTE FUNERAL HOME, 327 Hildreth Street, Lowell. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday at 10 AM at St. Patrick Church, Pelham, NH. Burial to follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Chelmsford.
