Beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother & Sister

Elaine S. (Landry) Romanauskas, 72, passed away at Lowell General Hospital on Friday, January 27, 2023 following a long illness. She was the beloved wife of Robert W. Romanauskas with whom she shared 52 years of marriage.

She was born and raised in Lowell, MA, and the daughter of the late Leo E. and Pauline (Diette) Landry. She was a local mail carrier for over 27 years.

One of Elaine’s favorite things to do was spend time at the beach and stop at Christy’s for a slice of pizza. She also enjoyed spending summers and holidays at the family’s camp in Moultonborough, NH, where she loved ice skating, cooking and entertaining her family.

She particularly enjoyed spending time with her beloved grandchildren. She enjoyed bowling and for many years was a member of several bowling leagues.

Elaine was long-time member of the D.L.K.V Lithuanian Club’s Ladies Auxiliary.

In addition to her husband, Robert, Elaine is survived and will be deeply missed by her three children, Alexander Romanauskas and his wife Lauren, Jeffery Romanauskas and his partner Meredith Cyr and Leslie Romanauskas; her six grandchildren, Gabriel, Rowan, Annika, Hailee, Ava and Cash; her three brothers, Leo Landry and his wife Debra, Brian Landry and wife Patricia and Paul Landry and his husband Randy Steere; her two sisters in-law, Nyola Vaillancourt and her late husband, Jack and Ramona Kasciolek and her husband Paul; as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was the sister of the late Donat Landry, Melvin Landry and Carol Landry.

Relatives and friends are invited to Elaine’s Life Celebration on Thursday, February 2, 2023 from 4 PM until 7 PM at the McKENNA-OUELLETTE FUNERAL HOME, 327 Hildreth Street, Lowell. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, February 3, 2023 at 10 AM in Immaculate Conception Church, Lowell. Burial to follow in St. Patrick Cemetery, Lowell.
