Eileen M. (Sullivan) Soucy, age 84, died at home surrounded by her family on Saturday, April 13, 2024. She was the beloved wife of Jerry Soucy, with whom she happily shared 64 years of marriage.

Born in Lowell on October 26, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Florence (Murphy) and William Sullivan. She attended St. Peter’s Grammar School and graduated class of 1957 from Keith Hall.

Eileen spent most of her life doing what she loved to do in being a seamstress. She started out at Rainbow Gowns, Jeanine’s Bridal and eventually ventured off on her own with Alterations by Eileen. She enjoyed being a bridal seamstress, bringing joy to many brides to be and in the following years converting their gowns to Christening and First Communion dresses. In her later years, one of greatest joys was sewing for her grandchildren.

Her and Jerry enjoyed many cruises as well as trips to Ireland and Portugal. Almost every spring and fall they took trips to Gloucester, Rockport, Ogunquit and the White Mountains.

She was a communicant at Ste. Marguerite d’Youville Church. Her dedication to helping and serving others was never ending. She volunteered for Dracut Pop Warner and served as the Director for the Dracut Pop Warner Cheerleaders. She was the past president for Keith Hall Alumnae, St. Rita’s Finance Committee and St. Rita’s Women’s Club.

In addition to her husband Jerry, Eileen is survived by her children, Stephen Soucy and his wife Jean, Mark Soucy and his wife Jennifer and Pamela Hamel; her grandchildren, Kaitlyn and her husband John, Peter, Jack,, Megan, Paige, Nick, Clare and Patrick and his wife Amber; her great-grandchildren, Aubrey, Rori, Stella, Katherine and Thomas; her brother, William Sullivan and his wife Ruth; her brother-in-law, Roland Soucy; her daughter-in-law, Cara Soucy; her dear friends, Mary Savard, Dot and Nat Ambrosini and Margaret Topitzer; as well as many other family and friends.

Eileen is predeceased by her son, David and her brother, Dennis.
