Obituary - Eileen A. Doucette
Lowell - Eileen A. (Golden) Doucette, 70, a resident of South Lowell, died Monday March 7, 2005, at the Lowell General Hospital following a lengthy illness. She was the wife of Roland J. Doucette, with whom she would have celebrated their 46 wedding anniversary in April.
Born in Lowell on November 12, 1934, a daughter of the late Francis X. and Margaret M. (Bowery) Golden Sr.
She was a graduate of St. Michael School and Lowell High School.
A former communicant of St. Michael Church, and a member of the Holy Rosary Sodality, but recently a communicant of the former Sacred Heart Church.
Mrs. Doucette was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family.
Besides her husband her survivors include five children and their spouses, Margaret and Edward Barter, Roland Jr. and Gina Doucette of Lowell, Deborah and Arthur Conley of Dracut, Joann and Randall Snead of Lowell, Eileen and Sam Panagiotopoulos of Lowell; a sister Mary R. Beck and her husband Charles of Dracut; two brothers, Thomas A. Golden, Sr. and Louise Gill of Lowell, Bernard B. Golden and Maureen Desrochers of Pelham, NH; a brother in law, Raymond J. Poitras of Lowell; nine grandchildren, Edward and Colleen Barter, Thomas, Shaun, and Shannon Conley, Merissa Snead, Bobby, Sammy and Alexis Panagiotopoulos; many nieces, nephews, grand nieces, and grand nephews.
She was the sister of the late Francis X. "Buddy" Golden, Jr., Margaret F. "Peggy" Poitras, and Rosalie M. "Tootsie" Nugent.
