Egisto Terrance "Terry" Zannoni, beloved husband of the late Eleanor L. (Durham) Zannoni, passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, June 9, 2022. He was 91 years of age.
Born in Lowell on May 12, 1931, he was the youngest child of seven of the late Egisto and Teresa (Zamarchi) Zannoni.
In 1950, Terry, along with his good friend, Edward Smith, formed Zannoni & Smith Masonry Construction. Their company became a standard of excellence in masonry work throughout the Merrimack Valley. In later years most of Terry's work was concentrated in Custom Stonework. Much of his work still stands throughout the community. As the go to guy he often helped family with their home construction and improvement projects.
Terry and Eleanor ran an active household. They hosted many gatherings with family and friends. When not by the backyard pool, they were spending summers at Salisbury Beach. They also enjoyed many nights in the kitchen playing cards with family and friends as well as trips to Atlantic City or Foxwoods Resort.
Survivors include four children and their spouses, Gail and Roger Perreault, Patti Richards, William and Rita Jean Zannoni and Robin and Mark Birolini all of Dracut; eight grandchildren, Jim Perreault, Ashley Walsh and her husband Garrett, Michael Richards, William Zannoni, Theresa Zannoni, Brook Birolini, Brittany Birolini and her fiancee Nathan Treiber and Olivia Birolini; two great-granchildren, Aria Walsh and Brody Walsh; his sister, Virginia Burk of Florida; his sister-in-law Carol Zannoni of Pelham, NH; as well as many nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his siblings, Anita Normandin, Lena Faticanti, Edward Zannoni, Paul Zannoni and Nora Kane and his son-in-law, Kevin Richards.
Relatives and friends are invited to Terry's Life Celebration at the McKENNA-OUELLETTE FUNERAL HOME, 327 Hildreth Street, from 4 PM until 8 PM on Monday, June 20, 2022. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10 AM in St. Michael Church, 543 Bridge Street, Lowell. Burial to follow in Richardson Cemetery, Dracut.
