Edward N. Comtois

Edward N. Comtois, 82, of Dracut, died Wednesday May 11, 2011 at his Dracut residence. He was the husband of the late Rita E. Comtois.
Born in Lowell on April 28, 1929, he was the last surviving child of the twelve children born to Joseph and Aurore (Cornellier) Comtois.
Throughout his career, Ed worked in the Construction field until his retirement. After retiring, Ed took on a position as a crossing guard at the Parker Avenue School in Dracut. He was a member of the Lowell Senior Center.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Nancy J. and Roger Cimon of Dracut, with whom he resided, Lisa M. and James Barrus of Lowell; a son and daughter- in- law, Edward M. and Maureen Comtois of Litchfield, NH; a daughter-in-law, Deborah Comtois of NH; 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late David J. Comtois.
