OBITUARY
LOWELL - Edward L. Morris Sr., 83, a resident of the Belvidere section of Lowell, died unexpectedly Sunday, September 18, 2005 at his home. He was the husband of Marie D. (Reardon) Morris with whom he would have celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary on September 23rd.
Born in Lowell on April 24, 1922, he was a son of the late Bernard and Margaret (Crowe) Morris.
Mr. Morris attended Lowell Schools and was a graduate of Lowell High School, Class of 1939.
He served with the United States Army in Central Europe during World War II.
Prior to his retirement in 1987, Mr. Morris served as a Police Officer for the city of Lowell for 34 years. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Police Officers, Local 662.
He was a communicant of St. Michael Church and a life member of the East End Club.
In addition to his wife he is survived by two sons, Edward L. Morris Jr. and his wife Joanne (Mulligan) and David A. Morris and his wife Olivia, all of Lowell; a sister, Margaret I. Bamford of Dracut; five grandchildren, Jonalyn Morris, Shana Morris, Bethany Morris and her husband Kevin Costello, John Morris and Edward L. Morris III; a great grandson, Eamon Edward Costello; many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Leo, Bernard, Vincent, John, Joseph and Bennett Morris, Agnes Nerny, Imelda Morris and Mary Driscoll.
