DRACUT - Edward F. “Ed” Sullivan, age 80, a resident of Dracut died Wednesday, April 5th at Northwood Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Lowell.  He was the beloved husband of Katherine S. (Amorelli) Sullivan with whom he would have celebrated 60 years of marriage in September.  

He was born in Lowell on June 27, 1942, and was a son of the late Edward F. Sullivan, Sr. and Irene (Nicholas) Sullivan.  He receive his education in Lowell schools and was a graduate of Lowell High School.  

Prior to his retirement, Ed was employed for many years as a photo plotting technician by Northeast Plotting Inc. in Nashua, NH.  Earlier in life he worked for many years as a cobbler and owned and operated Marathon Shoe Repair in Lowell.  

In his free time, he enjoyed playing pool, skiing, and going for walks and runs. His greatest joy came from spending time in the company of his his loving family and dear friends at Grace Bible Church in Dracut, where he was a longtime active member.  

In addition to his wife, Ed is survived by a son, Christopher Sullivan and his wife Melinda of Methuen; a daughter, Kelly Laurin and her husband Jeff of Orlando, FL; three grandchildren, Jennifer Merritt and her husband Daniel of Killeen, TX, Jeremy Laurin and his wife Estelle of Orlando, FL and Ashlyn Sullivan of Nashua, NH; three great grandchildren, Samantha, Zoe and Antonio; his Grace Bible Church family; and many nieces and nephews.  

He was preceded in death by his son, Edward Sullivan and several siblings, including Mary Lynch and Sally Doris.  

It being his wish, there will be no visitation and services will be private.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ed’s memory to Grace Bible Church, 517 Methuen St, Dracut, MA 01826.
