Edmund J. Jardin

July 9, 1939 — January 11, 2013

Edmund J. Jardin, Sr., 73, a resident of the Centralville section of Lowell passed away unexpectedly on Friday January 11, 2013. He was the beloved husband of Louise M. (Harris) Jardin for 51 years.
Ed was born in Lowell on July 9, 1939, a son of the late Marion (Welch) and Raymond R. Rowe, Sr.
He attended Dracut schools and was a 1958 graduate of Dracut High School.
Mr. Jardin was employed as a driver for the Lowell Council on Aging. He held membership in the East End Social Club. Edmund was the recipient of the Greater Lowell VNA Outstanding Care Giver of 2011 award for the dedicated care given to his wife, Louise.
An avid fan of politics, Ed watched all of the local and national political debates and meetings. He often commented that election night, especially a presidential election was his Super Bowl.
He enjoyed being outdoors gardening and watching the weather forecast. He would then call family members and update them on the forecast.
Ed took pleasure in taking Louise out for a ride. They would often travel some distance for lunch or dinner.
Most of all he cherished the time spent with his grandchildren.
Surviving him besides his wife are his five children, Edmund J. Jardin, Jr. of Pelham, NH, Luanne Mulligan and her husband Michael of Windham, NH, Nancy Greco-Bishop and her husband Paul of Dracut, Pamela Nison and her husband Michael of Lowell, Carolyn Young and her husband Steven of Townsend; four grandchildren, Philip Greco, Connor, Colin, and Taryn Mulligan; four brothers, twin brother Gerald Jardin and his wife Rosana, Joseph Rowe and his wife Deborah, James Rowe, Kevin Rowe and his wife Loreen; sisters-in-law, Mary Rowe, Marilyn Harris, Valorie Harris, all of Dracut; brother-in-law Ronald Harris and his wife Natholyn of FL; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Raymond R. Rowe, Jr., brother-in-law and sister-in-law Kenneth and Joanne Harris.
