LOWELL - Duncan J. MacDonald, 96, a longtime resident of the Centralville section of Lowell, died Tuesday, November 18, 2008 in a local nursing home. He was the husband of the late Marilynne M. (Scullin) MacDonald.
Born in Nova Scotia, Canada on March 19, 1912, he was a son of the late Dan and Annie MacDonald.
Prior to his retirement, Mr. MacDonald was employed by A. A. Smith Office Equipment Company of Lowell as a typewriter repairman.
He was a communicant of St. Michael Church.
Mr. MacDonald loved to play golf.
He is survived by his step-daughter, Geraldine Morrison of CT; two step-grandchildren and their spouses, Jeffrey and Janet Morrison of CT and Jane and Mark Schweinshaut of MA; several step great grandchildren and also nieces and nephews living in the United States and Canada.
