Douglas G. Petullo

Douglas G. Petullo, 31, a longtime Chelmsford resident died unexpectedly Tuesday March 29, 2011 at his Chelmsford residence.
Born in Lowell on April 20, 1979, he was a son of Anna (Terruso) Petullo of Chelmsford and Gary and Deborah (Pereira) Petullo of Buckeye, AZ.
Doug attended Chelmsford public schools and graduated from Chelmsford High School in 1997. He attended Massachusetts Maritime Academy earning a degree in Engineering. He Captained his own fishing vessel, The Lady Catherine Ann for a number of years, fishing out of Seabrook, NH. Doug had been affiliated with the Merchant Marines for over 10 years. He recently accepted a job position as a first engineer with Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution.
In addition to his parents, survivors include a son, Ryan D. Petullo and his son's mother, Catherine (Giuffre) Petullo of Seabrook, NH; his brother, Daniel J. Petullo of Chelmsford; a sister Jaclyn V. Petullo of Tewksbury; his Godmother, Susan (Petullo) LaRoche of Hudson, NH; his grand uncle, Gaetano Terruso of Chelmsford; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
