Lowell - Douglas P. Copley, 34, of Lowell, died on Thursday, September 16, 2010 at Saints Medical Center, following a brief illness.
He was born in Lowell on March 2, 1976 a son of Paul J. and Barbara K. (Megdanis) Copley of Lowell.
In addition to his parents, he leaves his brother and sister-in-law, Jared P. and Christine J. (Bucci) Copley of Lowell; his nephew and Godson, Joshua M. Copley of Lowell; his paternal grandmother, Julia E. Copley and his maternal grandmother, Kathleen P. Megdanis, both of Lowell. In addition to his immediate family, he is survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins from the Greater Lowell area, New Hampshire and Virginia. He was a grandson of the late John J. Copley and George J. Megdanis.
He was educated in Lowell schools and was a graduate of Greater Lowell Vocational Technical School. The most important things to Doug in life were his music, his family, his friends and having fun. Everyone who knew him treasured him and will forever miss his smiling face and booming laugh including his band mates, Chris, Mark and Tom from their band "Pleasure to Burn". Rock On!
