Douglas P. "Doug" Allaby

November 30, 1955 — July 21, 2022

Douglas (Doug) P. Allaby 66, passed away peacefully July 21, 2022, at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts.

Doug was born November 30, 1955, in Lowell, Massachusetts to Gertrude (Smith) Allaby and the late Douglas B Allaby. He graduated from Lowell Trade High School studying mechanics.  Doug worked as a mechanic, computer technician at Wang Labs and retired from 495 Jeep Chrysler of Lowell. 

Doug married the loving Patricia (Patty) M. Cadorette-Allaby on May 7, 1983 and raised a son Craig Ryan Allaby.

Doug enjoyed camping, boating, fishing, racing his Camaro, traveling and repairing computers as well as watching football, baseball, basketball and car racing.  His passion included telling wild fishing and boating stories.  Doug was well known for coming to the rescue when someone had a mechanical or computer crisis.  He loved his family and helping people.

Doug is survived by his wife of 39 years, Patricia (Patty) M. Cadorette-Allaby and  son Craig Ryan Allaby, brothers Bruce and his wife Dorothy of Lowell, Paul of Kentucky,  Eric of Maine, and  sister Kathy Miller and Rick of Methuen.  Also, his sisters- in-law Joy Mello and Jim Bonnell of Florida,
Linda and Rick Kinsley of Tyngsboro,  Ida and Roger Jacques of Dracut, and Sylvia R. (Becky) Cadorette of Dracut as well as brother- in- law James Cadorette and Nancy Sayward of Virginia. Doug had many nieces, nephews, and cousins, he also was a great uncle. Doug was a god father to two children his nephew Jared Jacques of Dracut and Anthony Cadorette of Groton. Doug loved his niece Katherine Kinsley as a daughter.

Doug was preceded in death by his father Douglas B. Allaby his brother Dale and his mother –in- law Josephine Cadorette, also Richie Kinsley of Nashua.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Doug's Graveside Service on Wednesday, July 27th at 10:00am at Holy Trinity Cemetery on Boston Road in Lowell.
