Dorothy (Betty) Pyrcz, beloved wife of the late Alexander Pyrcz died on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at the Cornerstone Hospice in Tavares FL following a period of declining health. She was 99.
Born in Lowell on April 8, 1918, she was a daughter of the late Henry and Angeline (Couture) Betty.
Dorothy was a homemaker who took pleasure in taking care of her family. She was happiest when surrounded by them.
Survivors include her children and their spouses, Bernice and Leo Labrecque of Leesburg, FL, with whom she made her home, Sandra and George Woods of Lowell, James Pyrcz of Dracut, Randolph Pyrcz of Chelmsford; a son in law David Quigley of Dracut; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. Dorothy was also the mother of the late Stephen Pyrcz, John Pyrcz, Patricia Couture, Evelyn Cooper, and Jo-Ann Quigley. She was also predeceased by her friend of 80 years Evelyn "Dinga" Proulx.
Relatives and friends are invited to Dorothy's Life Celebration on Friday from 8:30 until 9:30 AM. Her funeral Mass will follow at 10:00 AM in Holy Trinity Church. Burial in Holy Trinity Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations in Dorothy's memory may be made to Cornerstone Hospice, 2445 Lane Park Road Tavares, FL 32778.
