LOWELL - Dorothy M. (Regan) Moynihan, 89, a resident of the Highlands section of Lowell for the last 57 years, died Saturday morning, October 17, 2009 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Francis T. Moynihan with whom they shared 61 years of marriage.
Born in Lowell on April 7, 1920, she was a daughter of the late Francis and Lottie (Evans) Regan.
She was retired from the Bard Corp. of Billerica, but previously worked for Miss Lynch of Lowell and the Bon Marche Company of Lowell, where she was employed for many years.
She was a longtime communicant of St. Margaret Church and held membership in the St. Margaret Blessed Virgin Mary Sodality. She was also a member of the Middlesex Women's Club.
In addition to her husband she is survived by two daughters, Frances C. Moynihan of Lowell and Gail "Mary Gail" DeAngelis and her husband Carmen of Medford; two grandchildren, Carmen DeAngelis and his wife Andrea of Medford and Robert DeAngelis of Ontario, Canada; four great grandsons; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jim and Sally Moynihan of Lowell; also several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Kenneth P. Regan and sister-in-law of the late Norma C. (Ralls) Regan.
