Beloved Mother, Grandmother, Friend

DRACUT - Dorothy G. (McNeil) Hoffman passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on February 16, 2026, at the age of 95 at Lowell General Hospital after a brief period of declining health.

Dorothy was the beloved wife of George (Ronnie) Hoffman who passed away September 20, 2024.

Born in Lowell, on January 2, 1931, Dorothy was the daughter of the late Helen and Basil McNeil.

Dorothy was a graduate of Lowell High School and was a member of the Girl Officer’s. She was an avid quilter and enjoyed painting.

Dorothy’s favorite pastimes were taking long rides to the beach with Ronnie, spending time with her kids, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her 6 children: Gary Hoffman and his partner Kimberly Morency, Lee Ann Gagne, Lori Duchesne and her husband Bob, Scott Hoffman and his wife Jayne, Steven Hoffman and his wife Geneve, and Lisa Manoukian and her husband James.

Dorothy also has 8 grandchildren: Gregory and Alison Hoffman, Jennifer Charbonneau, Ryan Gagne, Matthew and Michael Duchesne, Scott R. Hoffman and Sage Hoffman.

In addition, she has 7 great grandchildren: Amelia “Mia” and Phillipa “Pippa” Hoffman, Wyatt Charbonneau, Kelsea and Liam Duchesne and Everett and Leilani Gagne.

Relatives and friends are invited to Dorothy’s Memorial Visitation on Friday morning, March 13, from 9:30 until 11:00 AM at the McKENNA-OUELLETTE FUNERAL HOME, 327 Hildreth Street.
