Lowell - Dorothy A. (MacLean) Beaulieu, beloved wife of Lionel J. Beaulieu, a resident of the Centralville section of Lowell, died Tuesday January 6, 2009 following an extended illness. She was 95.
Born in Lowell on March 12, 1913, she was a daughter of the late Angus and Anna (MacCausland) MacLean.
Dorothy was a member of the Pawtucket Congregational Church in Lowell. She was active in politics and had worked on many campaigns. She was also a member of the Middlesex Woman's Republican Club.
Surviving her besides her husband are two daughters, Rev. Dr. Judith Thurlow Pastor of the Pawtucket Congregational Church in Lowell, and her husband Robert of Dracut. Martha Robey and her husband Richard of Lowell; four grandchildren, Robert E. Thurlow, Jr., Joy Leclair and her husband Michael, Kimberly Russell and her husband Lance, Scott D. Sullivan and his fianc�e Tricia Curley; three step grandchildren, Ann Baddour and her husband State Senator Steven Baddour, Stephen Robey, Richard Robey; five great grandchildren, Daniel Russell, Megan Russell, Kelsey Russell, Isabella Baddour, Victoria Baddour; several nieces and nephews including Melissa Vinal of Dracut, William Lynch of Salem, NH, Harry MacLean of Portsmouth, NH, William MacLean of Lowell. She was also the sister of the late Clarence MacLean, Linda MacLean, Edith MacLean, Robert MacLean, and Louise Lynch.
