Doris A. (Chouinard) Noel, a longtime Chelmsford resident died Tuesday April 29, 2014 at the Genesis Westford House. She was the wife of the late Edward J. Noel. She had just celebrated her 96th birthday.
Born in Lowell on April 22, 1918, she was a daughter of the late Zenon and Alvina (Gagnon) Chouinard.
For many years, Doris was a secretary having worked for a family business.
Doris grew up in a home with eleven siblings and remained very close to them into her adulthood. She was seldom without one of her sisters. She cherished time with her family and was a devoted grandmother. She was a communicant of St. Mary Parish in Chelmsford.
Doris is survived by her son, Jeffrey E. Noel and his wife, Michelle (Martineau) of Pelham, NH ; a daughter Anne-Marie McMaster and her husband, Bruce of Chelmsford; five grandchildren, Tara Dufresne and her husband, Doug of Chelmsford; James McMaster and his wife, Angela of Chelmsford; Timothy McMaster and his wife, Amanda of Brooklyn, NY; Emily Noel of Pelham, NH and Gregory Noel of Pelham, NH; six great grandchildren; Adam, Jacob and Collette Dufresne, Maggie, Caitlin and Mary McMaster: a brother-in-law, B. Joseph Tully of Dracut; many nieces and nephews. She was a sister of the late Irene Lamarre, Rita Lalime, Estelle Bisson, Yvette Trouville, Eileen Richards, Cecile Thibodeau, Dorothy Shannon, Ann Tully, Lucille Lacourse, George Chouinard and Juliette Doyle.
