Doris M. Maille

LOWELL - Doris M. (Chartrand) Maille, 88, a resident of the Centralville section of Lowell, died Tuesday morning, September 8, 2009 in a local nursing home. She was the widow of Raymond F. Maille.
Born in Lowell on June 29, 1921, she was a daughter of the late Louis and Anna (Martineau) Chartrand.
Mrs. Maille was a communicant of the former St. Louis de France Church and most recently was a parishioner of Ste. Marguerite D'Youville Parish.
Prior to her retirement, she had been employed as a weaver for the J.P. Stevens Company.
She is survived by a son, Raymond R. Maille of Lowell; a daughter, Janet Kowalchuk of Dracut; four brothers, Wilfred Chartrand of Lowell, Donald Chartrand of NH, Roger Chartrand and his wife Bernadette of Lowell and Andre Chartrand of Lowell; two sisters, Annette Chartrand and Constance Tessier and her husband Donald, all of Lowell; a granddaughter, Keri A. Kowalchuk, Esq. of Haverhill; also several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Robert L. Maille and a sister of the late Irene Marchildon and Lucienne Chartrand.
