Lowell - Doris L. (Curtin) Hart, 77, a resident of Christian Hill in the Centralville section of Lowell, died Wednesday, December 27, 2006 at Saints Medical Center. She was the wife of William J. Hart who died June 7, 1998.
Born in Lowell on April 5, 1929, she was a daughter of the late Harold F. Curtin Sr. and Yvonne C. (Martin) Curtin.
Mrs. Hart was a graduate of St. Michael Parochial School and Lowell High School, Class of 1947.
She was a lifelong member of St. Michael Parish.
Prior to her retirement in 1988, she was employed by the City of Lowell in the Division of Planning and Development. She was a member of the Retired State, County and Municipal Employees Association of Massachusetts.
She is survived by a brother, Harold F. Curtin Jr. and his wife Mary of Wayland; a sister-in-law, Gerry Curtin of Seabrook, NH; a brother-in-law, William F. Schumann of Warren, PA;; two nephews, Dr. Harold F. Curtin III and his wife Kathleen and T. Barrett Curtin, all of Wayland; four grandnephews, Patrick B. and Douglas B. Curtin, both of Wayland and Justin and Jonathan Curtin both CA; a grandniece, Erin P. Curtin of Wayland. She also leaves several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews on her husband's side of the family, among who is Patricia Noel of Lowell, as well as many dear friends. She was a sister of the late Robert E. Curtin, aunt of the late Patricia A. Curtin and sister-in-law of the late Theresa M. Schumann, Agnes C. Hart and Catherine P. Brown.
