Doris Dumais

Lowell- Mrs. Doris (Briere) Dumais, 78, a long time resident of Lowell, died unexpectedly Sunday, May 21, 2006 at the Lowell General Hospital. She was the wife of Maurice W. Dumais with whom she was married for 52 years.

Born in Lowell on September 21, 1927, she was the daughter of the late William and Alma (Chartier) Briere. Mr. Dumais grew up in Pelham, NH but made her home in Lowell for the past 52 years.

Before retiring, Mrs. Dumais had been employed by Raytheon Corp. of So. Lowell. She was a communicant of St. Joseph's Shrine in Lowell. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her husband.
Besides her husband, she is survived by four sisters and three brothers-in-law, Rita and Leo Albert of Tyngsboro, Annette and Roland Monty of Dracut, Loraine and Leon Marchand of Tyngsboro, and Dorothy Gentile of Lowell; two brothers, Richard Briere of Salem, NH and Robert Briere of Hudson, NH; Seven nieces and their husbands, Doris Francis of Manchester, NH, Noreen Judd of Laconia, NH, Karen Thomas of Tyngsboro, MA, Nancy Montgomery of New Ipswich, NH, Janice and Darold Wooley of Lincoln , ME, Suzanne Theriault, Phylis and Patrick Powers of Hudson, NH; six nephews and their wives, Ronald and Virginia Albert of Pelham, NH, William and Sandra Albert of Galveston, TX, David and Juli Monty of Windham, NH, Donald Marchand of Nashua, NH, John Gentile of Lowell, Mike and Venessa Briere of Pelham, NH; numerous cousins. She was the sister of the late Pauline Briere.
