Doris J. (Gaunt) Doulamis, 77, formerly a longtime resident of Arlington, VA, died Wednesday July 1, 2009 at The E. N. Rogers Memorial Veterans Hospital, Bedford.
Born in Edgewood, Maryland on August 10, 1931, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Ethel (Dufour) Gaunt.
Ms. Doulamis served in the United States Army during the Korean War earning the rank of Sergeant. She was employed for many years at Hanscom Air Force Base as an Executive Secretary before moving to Maryland in 1970 where she then worked for the United States Pentagon until her retirement. She was actively involved with the Women Army Corps for many years.
Doris is survived by her two daughters, Doria Sylvester and her husband Ronald of Tyngsboro and Petrina Sullivan of Dracut; a sister, Nancy Santos of TN; three grandchildren, Hollie Nickerson and her husband, Ian of Hudson, NH, Sarah Craig and her husband, Wil of Nashua, NH, Garrett Sullivan of Dracut; and a great grandson, Brady Nickerson.
