Doris A. (Sylvester) Donovan

LONDONDERRY, NH - Doris A. (Sylvester) Donovan, age 78, a longtime resident of Londonderry, NH died Monday, December 31, 2018 at Aurora Senior Living of Derry.

She was born in Lowell on July 17, 1940, and was a daughter of the late Maurice A. and Marie L. (Cloutier) Sylvester. She received her education in Lowell schools.

Prior to her retirement, Doris was employed for many years as a silk screener by Hadco in Hudson, NH.

She was known by her nieces and nephews as the "fun aunt". She enjoyed camping, dancing, and her cats. She also enjoyed spending time in the company of her family and friends, especially at one of her many cookouts that she hosted.

She is survived by many nieces and nephews and was the sister of the late Louis Sylvester, Joseph Sylvester, William Sylvester, Arthur Sylvester, Leo Sylvester, Hector Sylvester, Claire Strykowski, Yvonne Sylvester, and Irene Austin.

ARRANGEMENTS - Relatives and friends are invited to Doris' Life Celebration at the MCKENNA-OUELLETTE FUNERAL HOME, 327 Hildreth Street, Lowell on Friday from 10:00 until 11:00 AM followed by her Funeral Service at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery in Chelmsford. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Doris' memory to the Alzheimer's Association, 309 Waverley Oaks Rd., Waltham, MA 02452.
