Doris A. (Ayotte) Dion

Doris A. (Ayotte) Dion of Dracut, MA died peacefully on September 22, 2014. She was the beloved wife for 57 years of the late Robert P. Dion, who died May 10, 2003.
Doris was born in Lowell, MA on September 10, 1922, a daughter of the late Donat and Lucia (Poirier) Ayotte. She was raised & educated between Lowell, MA and Rhode Island and was a 1940 graduate of Lowell High School.
Mrs. Dion was a devout Catholic, a member of Saint Francis Church in Dracut, MA and a former communicant of Saint Louis-de-France Church in Lowell, MA for many years before its closing. She was also an active member of The Marian Fathers Association of Marian Helpers for over 40 years. Doris was a loving, dedicated and proud mother to 8 children, several grandchildren and great grandchildren as they were central in her life.
Her survivors include four sons and daughters-in-law; Richard and Donna (Bette-Courtemanche) of Lowell, MA., Robert and Annette (Jacques) of Methuen, MA., Paul and Cheryl (Brooks) of Dracut, MA., Mark and Carol (Bergeron) of Tyngsboro, MA.; three daughters and sons-in-law, Jacqueline and Roger Breault of Largo, FL., Janice and Roger Desrosiers of Amherst, NH and Ann-Marie and Steven Whiting of Townsend, MA; twenty-five grandchildren, forty-eight great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Doris was also the mother of the late Bernard (Bernie) F. Dion, who died March 11, 2001, the mother-in-law of the late June (Boucher) Dion, who passed away on August 26, 2004 and the sister of the late Beatrice Brier.
